Meet The Face Behind Rocky Mountain Sound and Security

I'm Adrian Ehrmantraut, the owner of Rocky Mountain Sound and Security.

I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I’ve always had a passion for people and electronics, which may sound like an odd combination. However, there is nothing more significant than sharing fun moments with family and friends while watching a movie together or enjoying great music.

Growing up in Twin Falls my father was an electrician and through my high school years wired commercial and residential projects. My brother and I learned the ins and outs of Pro-audio when our band performed live music for many years, I started my professional career managing a satellite and home theater company in Twin Falls, Idaho. I was excited to learn more about sound, video, and security technology in large venues like convention centers, board rooms, and sports stadiums, so I moved to Denver Colorado. The role served as an integral part of my passion for technology.

Later, I moved to Portland to work for a high-end home theater and home automation company, where I developed many personal relationships.  I moved back to Twin Falls in 2004 and became a partner in a company called Automated Homes.

In 2010 we started Rocky Mountain Sound and Security. 

Since starting in electronics over three decades ago, technology has come on leaps and bounds. When I first installed a camera in 1996, it was black and white, had about 300,000 pixels, and cost about $150. Today, a color camera that can see color in the dark and has 4,000,000 pixels and has a price tag of $150. Televisions have also increased dramatically in size and screen quality, while the cost has stayed relatively constant.

I ensure that customers get the biggest bang for their buck by integrating an efficient engineered system based on their needs. We believe that camera, audio, and video design is an art that requires math, and my meticulous attention to detail has made me successful.

What also sets me apart from the others is that I pride myself on rendering impeccable customer service, and treat others as I would like others to treat me. I love showing customers how to use the systems after that they purchase them.

I remember installing a beautiful theater for a successful gentleman. He and his friend giggled like little girls after the first demonstration. It’s a memory that will always stay with me and inspires me to work hard and satisfy more customers.

When I am not installing security cameras, the first thing in my life is my family. We like camping, having fun in the sun, and share a common appreciation of art and music. In my spare time, I also spend time in my recording and video studio.
